Low carb bread

As i’ve been rolling this low carb lifestyle for a while now there are certain things that i miss in the “old” eating habits. Bread being one of them. One day i bumped into a marvellous recipe which allowed me to put bread back into my life 🙂

  • 2 eggs
  • 1tbsp psyllium fibre
  • 1tbsp almond flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • random amount of seeds (i put abt 1 tbsp hemp seeds but you can use what ever you wish)
  • about 100 g cheese (grated)
  • 1,5-2 tsp baking powder

Mix em all together and form your breads on the oven tray. The texture should be quite soft and more liquid than the regular bread dough yet solid enough to not go all flat. You can make it go lighter by adding one more egg or even some natural yoghurt and more solid by adding more almond flour etc. By trying out the different consistencies you can find the one that works best for you. Bake in the oven (225°C) until they get a nice amount of color (this doesn’t take a very long time so be ready 🙂 ).
